How to prevent gray hair?

Coming across the first signs of gray hair can be a devastating experience. If you’re on the young side, you’re likely to lose your mind worrying about those gray strands even more. Can you do anything about your gray hair? Is it something you can prevent? How much time do you have before all your hair turns gray? These thoughts can plague you day and night. Of course, you could always simply not care and learn to make the best of the gray hair. Or, you could put up a fight. The choice is always yours! What we can do is offer you some tips to prevent the grays from taking over your hair.

1. A Change in Lifestyle

Your lifestyle can be a big contributing factor to your new gray strands. If so, some changes are in order.
Try to consume food that’s rich in vitamins such as B, biotin, B-12, D, E, and A. They are vital for keeping your hair healthy. Minerals, on the other hand, are good for hair growth and repairing damaged hair. Look for the ones that have iron, zinc, magnesium, etc.
When you are traveling, be sure to cover your hair with a hat or scarf. The heat isn’t exactly good for your hair. There are specific head wraps in the market, especially for this purpose.

2. Actions That Damage Your Hair

There could be something wrong in the way you have been managing your hair too. From your perspective, it might appear you’re doing an excellent job. However, the truth could very well be that something as simple as the way you brush your hair is causing further damage.
For one, you want to stop bleaching it. Don’t try to brush wet hair, but if you are, better not actually use a brush. Instead, a wide-toothed comb would be a more suitable choice.
Again, keep the heat away from your hair. If you feel the need to straighten or curl it, it’s fine. However, you shouldn’t make a habit out of it.
As for your shampooing habits, don’t use shampoos that have lots of chemicals in them. Keep an eye out for the ones that have natural ingredients. Don’t wash your hair too frequently either.

3. The Magic of Curry Leaves and Coconut Oil

Everyone has some idea about how beneficial coconut oil can be. It acts as a conditioner and provides your hair with the protein it needs to nourish the damaged hair. Now, what if we add curry leaves into this already wonderful mix?
What you have at hand is a wonderful concoction. Give your scalp a nice massage with this mixture of coconut oil and curry leaves. Your beautiful dark locks are bound to stay with you for a long time if you continue to use this method.
Take a generous amount of curry leaves and boil them in 1 cup of coconut oil for about 8 minutes. Let it cool and then massage it on your scalp. Make this a regular part of your bathing routine.
If we are using natural methods to prevent gray hair, it’s important that the ingredients we use are of the best qualities. For that, we will recommend using Viva Naturals Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and Curry Leaves Powder (Murraya koenigii)

4. A pack egg hair and Henna

Henna is a natural colorant as it is. Besides that, it can be used to curb the premature graying of your hair too. All you need is to mix the henna and egg hair pack together with curd.
First, break an egg. Then, add two tablespoons of powdered henna to it. Add 1 tablespoon of curd or yogurt to the mixture and stir it. Apply this paste on the strands and the roots of your hair. Finally, wash the whole thing off after you have let it sit for 30 minutes.
This process is something you will need to engage in quite frequently, as such, we believe Makkuhena is best for you.

5. The one With Mustard Oil

While you might have always regarded mustard oil highly for its great flavor, did you know it can be helpful for taking care of your hair? The mustard seed oil has a high amount of selenium, antioxidants, and healthy fats in it. It can be extremely nourishing for your hair, giving it core strength and shine that everyone will envy. It also acts as a colorant, darkening the hair. Hence, you will have successfully concealed signs of premature graying.
Take about 2 to 3 tablespoons of mustard oil of the organic kind. Heat it on low and then thoroughly massage the length of your hair and scalp with it.
You are going to need a shower cap for this one. Cover your hair with the shower cap once you are done applying the heated oil. In the morning, shower and wash off the mustard oil concoction properly.
Not just applying it externally, if you can, try to make mustard oil a part of your diet.
Something like the Mustard Oil Brassica Juncea should be satisfactory for you.

6. Black tea and Salt

Home remedies are abundant when it comes to taking care of gray hair. Even the black tea in your home can be useful.
Prepare a cup of black tea and let it cool. Once it has cooled down, add salt to it. Apply this tea on your hair and scalp, gently massaging it. It takes about an hour for the tea to do its work. One wash later and we promise you will notice a visible difference in your hair.
You can’t compromise when it comes to tea, whether it is for your hair or simply for consumption. Thus, anything less than Shifa Hair Tea wouldn’t do.

Conclusion

Your hair can be graying for lots of reasons. It could be genes or stress or an unhealthy diet. Whatever it is, it isn’t a bad idea to buckle down and work on making your hair healthy again once you spot the first signs of gray. A day will come when your hair will turn fully gray eventually, but it doesn’t have to be now.
