How to Keep Ash Blonde Hair Looking Fresh: The Best Shampoo for Ash Blonde

August 25, 2021

When it comes to hair care, there are a lot of options out there. However, all of those options will be rendered moot if you don't have the right shampoo for your color of hair. Ash-blonde is one such type that can fade quickly and needs more attention than other colors do because the pigment in it is lighter.

I'm sure you've noticed that ash blonde hair can get a little dull and yellow after a few washes. This is because the color pigment in your hair fades over time, so it's important to find a shampoo that will maintain your vibrant blonde locks! If this sounds like your color or you have been struggling with finding the best shampoo for ash blonde hair, then read on!

Differentiate Between Ash Blonde and Platinum Blonde

Branching off from the original blond color, ash blonde is a slightly darker and more muted shade of light blonde. Platinum blonde hair falls under cool colors on the spectrum and can be mistaken for white at times because it's so icy-looking! The two are often confused with one another but don't let that happen to you. Once you know what they look like side by side your life will get much easier!

Ash Blonde

In my opinion, L'Oreal Paris EverPure Blonde Shampoo is not only great for maintaining hair color in general but also specifically targeting ashy tones. I love how gentle yet thorough it feels when using - no need to worry about dryness or overstripping the hair.

The Nexxus Color Assure Maxi-Hair Dry Shampoo Spray is another of my favorites, as it has violet pigments that brighten up any shade of platinum blonde and includes a UV protection. I also like to use this product when I plan on wearing my hair in a braid or bun because it helps keep me from needing too many touch ups throughout the day!

Lastly, if you're looking for an intense shine then Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Cream Rinse is perfect for you. This was actually one of the first products ever recommended to me by my stylist and she wasn't wrong; after using this rinse just once your locks will look so vibrant they'll almost glow!

The best shampoo for ash blonde is a product that will keep your ashy locks looking fresh, vibrant, and most importantly - not dull. Another way to keep your ashy hair looking fresh is by using an at-home treatment. All you'll need are a few of your favorite ingredients and some time!

To make, mix one cup of distilled water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and then add in either three drops each of rosemary oil extract or eucalyptus oil extract. Lastly, top it off with one tablespoon of jojoba oil before covering the container tightly (it will be best if left overnight). This recipe should do wonders for just about any type of blonde hair - not just ash tones.

Just remember that all these things can take patience but they're worth it when you get compliments on your hair and it's so much healthier!

If you're looking to give your locks an at home treatment, I recommend mixing one cup of distilled water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Then add in either three drops each of rosemary oil extract or eucalyptus oil extract before topping off the mixture with one tablespoon jojoba oil.

Cover tightly and allow to sit overnight for best results! This will do wonders for ashy blonde hair - not just for ash tones specifically. All these methods can take patience but they are worth it when you see how satisfied people are by such healthy-looking tresses!

The Best Shampoos for Ash Blonde Hair

With so many shampoos to choose from, it’s good that we have more than one type. For those with blonde hair, the right shampoo can make a big difference in how they look! Blonde is fragile and susceptible to salt & pepper or even yellowing - if you find yourself having this problem then try switching up your products for something gentler on color-sensitive hair like Pacifica Sea Foam Shampoo.

Best Shampoos for Ash Blonde Hair

Give your perfect locks an even more radiant shine by treating them with the right products. We tested a range of silver shampoos for ash blonde hair and here are our personal favorites!

You want to keep those perfectly dyed locks looking as vibrant as possible, so it's best not to neglect their needs when you wash them. Silver shampoo is one product that can help if they're starting to turn dull or yellow--we've got some recommendations on which ones work well below based on what we tried out ourselves!

1. Cool Silver Shampoo from REF

Cool Silver Shampoo from REF

Since Sweden is one of the only countries left with a large blonde population, we were excited to try out this shampoo. The packaging alone made us want it - not just because it's cruelty-free and vegan but also because REF is an iconic Swedish brand that has been around for over 50 years! When you open up your bottle, be prepared for a pleasant surprise: Cool Silver Shampoo smells like citrus oranges mixed in with the fresh green apple.

We used the cool silver shampoo and color boost mask for ash blonde hair to make our locks silvery as a mirror. Both lived up to what they said on their bottles: reducing the yellow tones and enhancing those of our natural colors, leaving us with beautiful shiny tresses. For best results, we left it in about five minutes before rinsing out all that yucky residue!

We were originally born brunettes but after trying these two products from the Pantene Pro-V Silver Shampoo+Color Boost Mask line, you would have guessed otherwise. The texture was so smooth when using both together - no tangles or snarls whatsoever! After just one use, people noticed how much better my hair looked.

2. Davines’ Alchemic Silver Shampoo

Davines Alchemic Silver Shampoo

The Italian fashion label is all about sustainability and a cruelty-free approach. The company prides itself on using only the highest quality natural ingredients to create its products, which are still made in Parma today.

Their Alchemic Silver Shampoo has been specially designed for platinum or cool blonde hair types and helps maintain color while cleansing any impurities from your locks without stripping them of moisture needed to stay healthy and shiny as well as strong against breakage.

This Italian label believes that making clothes should be sustainable so they use high-quality materials with limited environmental impact when producing their gorgeous pieces such as this dress called "Smoke." It's perfect if you want something outerwear but also don't want harsh winters having an effect on your skin

If you want to brighten up your hair color, pick a shampoo that will make it lighter. Our cool ash blonde formula is perfect for those looking for this hue! We offer different shampoos depending on the desired result - if you're interested in lightening or darkening your current tone then we have just what you need!

3. Blonde Angel Wash from Kevin Murphy

Blonde Angel Wash from Kevin Murphy

Kevin Murphy is a saint in the hair care business. His Blonde Angel Wash includes lavender and optical brighteners to rescue dulled color, restore shine, or help make your hair more vibrant than ever before!

My hair is now so shiny and healthy-looking, I don't know how it could get any better. The only thing that would make this product even more perfect for me is if the natural ingredients were organic!

Some of the best hair products are made by Kevin Murphy, and you can feel good about using them. The company donates a portion of its profits to Al Gore's Climate Change program while ensuring that all packaging is recyclable materials with ingredients harvested in an ecological way.

4. L’oréal Professionnel: Blondifier

L’oréal Professionnel: Blondifier

L’Oréal Professionnel has recently released a new line of hair products for all shades, including blonde. There are two different shampoos and conditioners that have been designed with the perfect balance to keep your color looking fresh while also retaining moisture in dry locks.

We tried L'Oreal's Blondifier Cool Shampoo, mask, and their newest addition: Blonde Bestie Spray which is supposed to protect against sun damage as well as give an iridescent glow without any buildup on strands or roots!

L'oreal Professionnel just launched its newly formulated series of hair care specifically designed for blondes who want radiant tresses even when they're not at home doing it themselves! The range includes shampoo, conditioner.

Your hair will be slick, soft, and shiny after using this shampoo. You'll need to rinse thoroughly afterward so you don't get any of the residue left on your scalp or face. Once that's taken care of though? It's time for Bestie Spray! Just spray it from a distance if possible - 30 cm away is best - which ensures an even distribution with maximum shine results.

5. Maria Nila: Sheer Silver Shampoo

Maria Nila: Sheer Silver Shampoo

Maria Nila's Sheer Silver Shampoo is the perfect choice for people who want to have healthy, shiny hair. Its silver powder formula makes it an incredibly powerful product that removes all impurities from your scalp and leaves you with a fresh start!

Maria Nila has taken care of our tresses in Sweden since 1989 but they're not just up there when it comes to Scandinavian style - their products are also cruelty-free and vegan-friendly which means no worries about animal testing or any other harmful chemicals getting into your locks.

This sulfate-free shampoo is perfect for the environmentally conscious individual. It neutralizes golden shades and provides protection to prevent color loss caused by heat styling or washing your hair. We’re big fans of this product because it doesn't just help you maintain a beautiful mane, but also protects our environment!

Ash Blonde Hair Care Routine

I never gave my hair a second thought when I had dark brown strands. It was only after going blonde that I became self-conscious of the maintenance and upkeep required to maintain luscious locks like mine.

Ash Blonde Hair Care Routine

It’s funny; When my hair was darker, it wasn't too bothersome for me to take care of myself because it tended not to show any split ends or color fade as easily since there are fewer ways these things can be seen in dark colors than light ones. Now that I'm in all shades of blondeness, though? Well, let's just say some extra TLC is needed!

I've been using a lot of dry shampoos lately, which I never used to do before. I was brown for so long that this is the first time I'm going blonde and it's taking me some getting used to! But as my hair has gotten lighter over these past few months, my dry shampoo use has too.

My new favorite brand right now is Batiste because they have such an adorable retro packaging design and their products are really affordable in comparison with other options on the market today... but hey, you don't need expensive stuff when your goal, at any rate, should be healthy-looking color rather than spending tons of cash or wasting precious natural resources by dyeing every couple of weeks like old times! Here is the hair care routine of my Ash Blonde Hair I tried to explain step by step.

Step 1

I want to make sure I never have a bad hair day, so before jumping into the shower and applying products, one of my favorite ways is to use the Tangle Teezer. It quickly removes any knots or tangles from your locks! I like making sure my hair stays tangle-free as much as possible. When that just isn't happening on its own (which happens way too often), it's time for me to call in backup - aka The Tangle Teezer!

Step 2

Shampooing with a cleanser before using the violet shampoo is essential to help keep color from fading in between dying sessions. Usually, I opt for one of those cleansing shampoos that are specifically formulated to remove buildup and residue, but when Aussie released their Colour Mate Shampoo it was like they had read my mind: It not only does an effective job at removing build-up without stripping hair color, it also helps improve its longevity!

Step 3

I have to admit that I was hesitant at first, but this product has been a complete game-changer in my hair routine. My hairdresser even said she's never seen such great results with any other company! The Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Shampoo is designed for brunette-to-blonde color transitions and helps tone the hair so it doesn't get too brassy or orange as you go from brown to blonde. It also contains violet dye which can easily tint your locks purple if left on long enough - but don't worry because there are instructions telling you how many minutes to leave it on before rinsing thoroughly afterward (approx 20 mins).

Step 4

I use the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner which I’ve used for years as it smells incredible and leaves my hair feeling super soft. However, once a week (or whenever my hair needs some serious attention) I opt for the Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Hair Mask to give myself an at-home salon experience that also takes care of damaged strands without me having to leave home! The mask is so easy, just apply from root to tip before washing with shampoo like usual.

Step 5

I always make sure to wrap my hair in a towel after washing out the mask and wring it through with water still on. I then let time pass for about 5-10 minutes before removing the soaked up excess moisture from my hair by squeezing off all of that extra wetness and wrapping it back into another layer of towel which helps squeeze more water, while also giving me some peace!

Step 6

I'm always able to tame any frizz with my Fudge Urban Miracle Ends product. The smell of this stuff also reminds me of those nostalgic holidays, which is really nice considering how much time I spend behind a computer screen on the internet all day!

Step 7

The Nicky Clarke 220 Degree Heat Barrier Spray is designed to protect my hair from any heat damage. Hair can be seriously damaged if heated too much, so I make sure that all of it has a spray shield on before letting the other half air-dry so it doesn’t get wet and damp while I continue to get ready for work or school. If I don't have time to dry fully, which happens more often than not as a student in college with an internship during the weekdays, part drying at least ensures my locks are protected even if they still look pretty messy when finished.

Step 8

I remember my first GHD. I have had it since when I was fifteen, and they’re still going strong! The flat ends allow for more volume on top of the hair follicles which helps to create a healthy shiny look that is always in style. After straightening out the wayward strands with a patting motion (always use your hands!), take care by running through John Frieda polishing serum from roots to tips so you can feel confident about any flyaways or frizzies.

There are so many great products out there for hair care but I know that the ones mentioned in this article have been working wonders on mine. Especially, Fudge Violet Shampoo - which is perfect to tone your locks and help maintain a gorgeous shade of blonde!
